Manual Quality Assurance Professional

Job Overview

We seek a meticulous Manual Quality Assurance (QA) professional to review and analyze software requirements. The ideal candidate will design detailed test plans and cases for web and mobile applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create thorough test plans and cases that cover all aspects of the application.
  • Conduct functional, regression, UI, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on diverse platforms.
    • Analyze defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla and document reproduction steps.
  • Update test artifacts such as test plans, test cases, checklists, and test reports to ensure transparency and traceability.
    • Engage in Agile/scrum ceremonies to align testing efforts with development cycles.
    • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to clarify requirements and replicate issues.
  • Evaluate new feature implications on existing functionality to prioritize testing effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of manual testing experience across web and/or mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in formalizing test documentation.
    • Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows.
    • Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate issues clearly.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with API testing tools and backend services verification.
    • Exposure to SQL or basic database validation techniques.
    • Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and device debugging tools.
    • ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
    • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools would be beneficial.
