Senior SQL Database Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to oversee the implementation and maintenance of our SQL Server technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve database performance, capacity, replication, T-SQL related issues.
  • Proactively monitor databases for errors and respond quickly to troubleshoot and resolve ongoing issues on all environments.
  • Maintain and monitor systems both On-Prem and in cloud environments.
  • Coordinate database downtimes to perform maintenance procedures.
  • Define backup and recovery strategies using existing technologies.
  • Perform advanced database administration tasks including performance tuning, T-SQL optimization, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Create and update documentation about standard procedures, DB technology features, or production issue troubleshooting.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the technical area of expertise.
  • Support highly available production systems using mirroring, log shipping, clustering, and availability groups.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy code in production when needed.
