Manage Facilities and Operations

The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for employees and guests.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee physical plant operations, including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with facility regulations and safety standards.
• Develop specifications and requirements for service contracts to support building needs.
• Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders, monitoring timeliness and quality of completion.
• Direct the maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
• Develop long-term plans for preventative maintenance and asset protection, overseeing execution of the plan.
• Develop project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs.
• Contact contractors for bids and supervise construction to ensure timely completion within budgetary guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning departments, fire prevention bureaus, and vendors.
• Ensure the fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment, and alarms.
• Perform monthly property inspections to maintain buildings and grounds in excellent condition.
• Conduct guest room and common area inspections to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine required work.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services, such as painting, repair work, renovations, and replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Select and order new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
• Manage parts and equipment inventory.
• Ensure building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
• Maintain property life safety systems, including firefighting equipment, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.
• Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
• Review comment cards, guest satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas of improvement.
• Share plans with property leadership, ensuring corrective action is taken to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
• Strive to improve service performance.

Requirements:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

OR

2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
