Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Professional to lead the growth of our Parametric Insurance business. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale a sales function from the ground up.
About the Role:
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for Parametric Insurance, identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Establish a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent deal closures and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Forge partnerships with key stakeholders in the insurance industry, government agencies, and financial institutions.
- Generate, qualify, and nurture leads, tailoring sales strategies to parametric product models.
- Monitor market trends, weather and climate risk data, and competitor offerings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Agriculture, Climate Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, preferably in parametric or climate-risk insurance, reinsurance, or rural financial services.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and scaling a sales function from 0 to 100.
- In-depth understanding of parametric insurance products, climate data, and risk triggers.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
