The Role

This is a hands-on role where your expertise in infrastructure will be invaluable to every client. The role has two halves: contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, test, modify, automate, and integrate systems; and long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution.

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM DataPower appliances and API Connect infrastructure in a clustered environment, ensuring high availability and load balancing for APIs.
  • Extensive experience working with API Connect (v5 and v10) build & administration.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to DataPower, API Connect, API traffic, and overall system health.
  • Manage and maintain SSL certificates, cryptographic objects, and security configurations on DataPower devices and API Connect gateway.
  • Work closely with network and security teams to integrate DataPower appliances and API Connect into the existing infrastructure and enforce security best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical production issues related to DataPower and API Connect.

This project-based role offers deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project, as well as the chance to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. You'll find opportunities to grow in various areas, from certification and qualifications to leadership roles.

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ Years of Experience in IBM DataPower and API Connect Administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IBM DataPower Administrator with expertise in managing and configuring DataPower appliances.
  • Solid understanding of API concepts, protocols, and RESTful principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) to automate tasks and implement monitoring solutions.
