About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Data Modeler to join our team at Carrier. As an Embedded Systems Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in the development of our products by designing and defining data structures and interfaces used to exchange information between complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data modeling, designing and definition of data structures and attributes for system interfaces
  • Direct cooperation with system architects and software developers on specification analysis and solution preparation
  • Proactive involvement in finding best-fitting solutions for given requirements
  • Maintenance and refinement of database storing ECU variants and data structure definitions using ODX-standard supporting tools chain
  • Support of software developers across value chain in implementing functions using established interfaces and defined data structures
  • Definition of data modeling (ODX) process for high-quality and efficient deliveries to development teams, production and service
  • Implementation of test automation scripts for quality assurance of data deliveries
Requirements
  • Experience in Research and Development field:Problem-solving engineering mindsetIndependent, self-motivated and strong team player with experience working across matrix organizationsAble to cooperate closely with projects' key architects and developersResponsible for delivery of product design to understand implementation detailsAble to see system architecture in big picture and willing to ask questions and challenge status quoFluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience in software development:Knowledge of software development lifecycle in embedded systems and digital productsExpert knowledge of object-oriented software programming concepts and principlesExperience with designing, modeling and documenting data interfaces used to exchange information between interconnected components in complex systemsExperience in test automation programming, continuous integration and deployment deeper understanding of variant management of products and ECUsExperience with any tools supporting ODX-standardComfortable with both agile and waterfall environmentExperience with use of GITExperience with use of Jira
Salary Estimate

Based on industry standards and job requirements, we estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
