Engineer for Finite Element Calculations

The role of a Fe calculation engineer involves the structural evaluation of Generators stator and rotor components, including static and dynamic assessment of stator frame, fatigue and HCF/LCF evaluation of stator, fracture mechanics assessment of rotor, transient and Harmonic response analysis of End winding, and shipping restraint verification. Additionally, finite element analysis of Generator components using ANSYS mechanical workbench and NX-CAE is required.
Key Requirements- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or applied mechanics from a recognized university.
- Experience in FEA for linear, non-linear, static, transient, thermal, and structural calculation.
- Proficiency in computational modeling tools such as NX, Ansys, MATLAB.
- Working knowledge in Linux environment - Shell commands.
- Python script skills are an added advantage.
- Knowledge about Generators and general power plant is necessary.
- Fault diagnosis experience will be beneficial.
- Problem-solving skills, data analysis skills, verbal and written communication skills, and positive interpersonal skills are essential.
This position requires individuals with strong analytical skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to analyze and solve complex problems related to generator performance and safety.
