Industrial Technology Manager

About this role: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Technology Manager to lead the design, configuration and deployment of SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technology expert to join our team and play a key part in driving digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud.
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
Required Skills:
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMIs), and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards (ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
