Software Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our Australian engineering team. As a software engineer in test, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for our web and mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software at speed. You will work closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Cypress for end-to-end UI testing.
  • Develop and extend test frameworks in C# and TypeScript for API, integration, and unit testing.
  • Configure and schedule nightly executions of UI tests using GitHub Actions.
  • Analyse test results, triage failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and reusable test code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and reliability.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation for web applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Proficiency in C# and/or TypeScript, with solid object-oriented programming fundamentals.
  • Experience building and maintaining test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, Jest).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps: pipelines, repos, artifacts, and test plans.
  • Working knowledge of AWS: provisioning, IAM, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows (feature branches, pull requests, code reviews).
