Business Intelligence Specialist

This role involves providing critical support to a US-based client, working in the US time zone or adhering to a 24/7 support model. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring smooth backend service operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering high-quality L1/L2/L3 support to clients, focusing on problem resolution and delivery.
  • Work closely with development teams and end-users to maintain service standards and ensure system reliability.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions for issue resolution and performance optimization.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Power BI (report building, dashboard design, DAX, Power Query).
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud, including dashboard configuration and data integration.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data querying to support data extraction and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in creating reports and dashboards using DAX.
  • Excellent understanding of DAX functions, M query language, and Power BI premium services.
  • Knowledge of dataset refresh using gateways, configuring, and managing gateways.
  • Strong grasp of service features, governance, deployment pipelines, data gateway, schedule refreshes, XMLA endpoints.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Row Level Security, workspace creation, and managing workspace access.
  • Expertise in performance optimization and tuning of PBI reports.
  • Ability to present weekly and monthly reports to business users.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Experience with Power BI visuals, including Tree Map, Funnel, Line Chart.
  • Knowledge of map reports and stacked reports.
  • Proficiency in Power Query lists, tables, and records.
  • Ability to create scorecards, bookmarks, tool tips, conditional formatting, drill-down reports, and drill-through reports.
  • Experience with all types of filters, sync slicers, and edit interactions.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Non-Technical Skills:
  • Drive incident/problem resolution by assisting in key operational activities.
  • Assist in change ticket review/approvals/planning and work with internal teams.
  • Assist with project transitions from project teams to Support teams.
  • Escalation points for operation-related issues.
  • Experience working in ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with appropriate priority and strong time management skills.
  • Flexible about work content and enthusiastic to learn.
  • Knowledge of service support, operation, and design processes (ITIL).
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority.
  • Strong relationship skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
