Job Title: Public Relations Specialist

Description:

We seek a skilled professional to join our team in a senior public relations role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise daily with clients and media via telephone and email to build relationships and networks.
  • Manage client expectations through effective communication and relationship building.

Media Monitoring & Coverage:

  • Monitor traditional and digital media for opportunities.
  • Collate, analyse, and evaluate media coverage to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Publicity & Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute publicity strategies and campaigns to promote clients and brands.
  • Strategize, enable execution, and create roadmaps for publicity efforts.

Event Management:

  • Organize press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours, and visits to promote clients and brands.
  • Attend and promote client events to media and PR platforms.

Brand Development:

  • Develop relationships with brands and third parties on behalf of the organization.
  • Leverage partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities to grow brand awareness.

Influencer & Thought Leadership Engagement:

  • Build relationships with industry leaders to grow awareness and credibility for clients and brands.
  • Conduct trend forecasting for clients and their industries to stay ahead of the curve.

Research & Analysis:

  • Commission market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Research new business proposals and present to potential clients.

Team Contribution:

  • Motivate the team and encourage a friendly work environment.
  • Maintain a network of resources to deploy when needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in building relationships with clients and media.
  • Strong understanding of media landscape and ability to identify opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
