Job Summary

Emerson is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in product design, mechanical engineering, and home appliance development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform new product development engineering activities from EICP.
  • Adhere to organization project management processes.
  • Deliver tasks as per schedule with defined timeframe.
  • Design and develop different home appliances with UL-1017 and CSA standard.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Perform different testing in on-site LAB.
  • Perform prototype testing and analysis.
  • Build 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in NX.
  • Recommend and implement process changes to drive continuous improvement to project schedules for enhanced execution efficiency.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and further technology development within our core engineering & design fields.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 3–4-year experience / Diploma with 5-6 year of experience.
  • Experience in plastic part design.
  • Experience collaborating with global / remote team members.
  • NX modeling, drafting skill, well-versed with Teamcenter activities.
  • Manufacturing experience of Plastic part process.
  • Good hands-on Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in home appliance product design.
  • Good organization, planning, and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with NX surfacing.
  • Experience working with/building prototypes.
  • 3D printer setup and part clean up.
