Backend Software Developer Position

A top-notch Backend Software Developer with expertise in Java, MS SQL, and Spring is sought after. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web fundamentals, HTTP protocol, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality backend applications using frameworks like Spring and SpringBoot.
  • Work with Java 11 and above, as well as experience with continuous integration and delivery environments.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to drive user story analysis, design, and development of responsive web applications.
  • Perform ongoing refactoring of code and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Manage own time and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative attitude. Experience working with JavaScript on the Node stack and Test Driven Development (TDD) practices is a plus.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline.
  • 3-4 years of work experience or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in Java, demonstrating good Java knowledge.
  • Experience with Java 11 and above, Spring, SpringBoot, and Dropwizard is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of recent experience working in JavaScript on the Node stack is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience with TDD, BDD, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing.
  • 3-4 years of working in an Agile or SAFe development environment.
