System Development Engineer, Payments Services

We are seeking a highly skilled System Development Engineer to join our Payments Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems that support multiple payment options and process millions of transactions daily.
Key Responsibilities- Solve complex problems at scale and collaborate with a talented team of engineers to develop innovative solutions.
- Work with cloud-native applications, container orchestration platforms, and automated pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Develop robust, efficient, and maintainable code using languages such as Java, Shell, Ruby, Python, Scala, and Go.
- Engage with the open-source community to identify and address critical challenges, and advocate for open-source solutions within the company.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with partner teams to complete interdependent work items.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Unix-based operating systems and scripting languages.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think proactively and make sound decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, or C, and a passion for problem-solving.
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure, with a strong understanding of complex distributed systems.
- Knowledge of cloud-native applications, container orchestration platforms, and automated pipelines.
