Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing credit operations and managing risk functions in assigned areas or locations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing thorough financial analyses, assessing applicants' credibility and determining loan viability through credit appraisals.
  • Conducting detailed discussions with applicants to gather crucial information for loan applications and evaluating their financial situations through on-site business assessments.
  • Maintaining strict pre- and post-sanction credit risk compliance standards.
  • Handling the entire credit process at the branch level, including training resources on credit operations, documentation, and sales procedures.
  • Collaborating with external vendors and tracking verification checks related to loan applications within set turnaround times.
  • Maintaining satisfactory Turnaround Times (TAT) for UBL proposals.
  • Overseeing overall credit and risk management functions for assigned areas or locations.
  • Facilitating business teams to achieve monthly/annual performance targets.
  • E nsuring adherence to established credit policies and defined processes.
  • Providing valuable insights for designing and implementing credit policies and programs, as well as periodic changes based on market feedback and sales team input.
  • Maintaining portfolio quality, handling delinquent accounts, and monitoring potential risks.
  • Coordinating with operations teams for loan disbursal, OTC, and PDD processes.
  • Hiring credit personnel based on manpower budgeting, attrition management, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensuring audit and regulatory compliance for assigned locations or areas.
  • Conducting thorough reference checks for prospective borrowers from industry connections and existing lenders.
  • Developing and coordinating training programs for credit/sales teams.
  • Managing Management Information Systems (MIS) for their respective verticals.
