Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Operations Associate to join our team. As a Marine Operations Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet, coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assisting in the scheduling and execution of voyages.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure that all vessels under time charter meet the terms and conditions of the charter party by monitoring daily noon reports/position reports and coordinating with the master of the vessel.
  • To collect cargo documents from the vessel at every load/discharge port.
  • To evaluate and analyze vessel performance in the charterers' performance format.
  • To prepare freight invoices and demurrage claims as per the charter party and follow up with charterers for timely payment.
  • To ensure that deck and engine logs (containing sea passage performance) after each voyage are sent to the charterers within stipulated time.
  • To raise monthly charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices, and demurrage invoices to charterers and/or brokers – timely submission and follow-ups.
  • To assist the Vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work for smooth vessel operation.
  • To select, appoint, and approve agents' PDA and FDA.
