**Fresh Produce Category Manager Role Overview**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our fresh produce category strategy, driving sales, profitability, and expansion.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the fresh produce value chain, including farm production, seasonality, and market trends. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute growth plans across vegetables and fruits, leveraging market insights and customer demand patterns.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier networks, negotiating procurement contracts that ensure price competitiveness, consistent quality, and supply reliability.
  • Align with procurement and operations teams to optimize farm-to-customer movement, minimizing wastage and cost.
  • Monitor and manage SKU profitability, wastage levels, and demand-supply alignment, generating regular performance dashboards highlighting risks and opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or MBA (preferred).
  • 6-10 years of experience in F&V category management, commodity sourcing, or modern trade supply chains.
  • Strong analytical skills to track price trends, demand forecasts, and category economics.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, sales, and finance teams.
