About the Role:
The Legislative Researcher is a dynamic and innovative position that involves conducting in-depth research, analysis, and interpretation of national and international policies, programmes, and information.
This role requires a strong understanding of current affairs in the social and policy sector, as well as excellent analytical skills to identify key trends and issues.
As a member of our Policy and Legislative Research Team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality recommendations, analyses, and suggestions for a wide range of stakeholders at the central and state level.
The team undertakes long-term, transformative projects carefully crafted to deliver lasting, high-impact outcomes and fundamentally reshape key sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-depth research, analysis, and interpretation of national and international policies, programmes, and information for policy analysis briefs.
- Undertaking extensive consultation exercises with sectoral experts and organisations.
- Analysing policies, their broader framework, and impact on society.
- Staying up-to-date with current affairs in the social and policy sector.
- Assisting associates, senior associates, and managers in putting together client deliverables.
- Performing various administrative duties, such as organising meetings, creating agendas, and creating and distributing meeting notes.
Necessary Qualifications/Skills:
- Pursuing Masters' Degree in Economics/Engineering with policy certifications or lawyers with statistical understanding.
- Pursuing Bachelors' Degree in Law/Political Science/Economics/Public Policy from renowned Institutions or any other related field.
- Advanced research skills and analytical skills.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills.
- Understanding of Parliament and Legislative Assemblies functioning.
- Basic knowledge of Spreadsheets, Presentation Tools, and Word Processors.
- Proficiency in English is required. Additionally, proficiency in Hindi is highly preferable and knowledge of regional languages such as Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, etc is also encouraged.
