Automation Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to own end-to-end test automation, UI, APIs, and pipelines. The ideal candidate will write real code, ship clean tests, kill flaky ones, and keep us shipping fast without breaking stuff.

The Automation Engineer should be able to design and build UI test flows with Playwright, explore the use of AI tools to improve QA processes, automate backend/API tests using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent, and integrate automated testing into GitHub pipelines for auto-validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build UI test flows with Playwright
  • Explore the use of AI tools to improve QA processes
  • Automate backend/API tests using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
  • Write smoke tests, regression suites, kill switches, and sanity checks
  • Integrate automated testing into GitHub pipelines for auto-validation
  • Debug failing builds, isolate bugs, and log them quickly
  • Collaborate with developers, PMs, and releases to stay ahead of the curve
  • Maintain test data and manage test environments
Requirements:
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with modern UI automation tools
  • Solid understanding of API testing, version control, and test lifecycle
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Proficiency in writing, maintaining, and debugging automated test scripts
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools is a plus
