Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to design, develop and scale the robust backend infrastructure that powers our wealth management platform.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Skillful Problem Solving: Design and implement scalable backend services and mobile-optimized RESTful APIs
  • System Architecture: Build robust server-side architecture supporting real-time portfolio updates, automated investing, and AI-driven recommendations
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with mobile app developers, product teams, and DevOps for seamless integration and deployment
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and participate in technical architecture decisions
  • Data Security: Implement secure integrations with financial data providers, trading platforms, and banking systems, ensuring enterprise-grade security, data encryption, authentication, and compliance with financial regulations
  • Optimization: Optimize database performance, implement caching strategies, and design fault-tolerant systems for high availability
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in backend development for fintech or complex transactional platforms
  • Expertise in backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java), database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), DevOps (Docker, AWS EC2, Nginx, Linux), and REST APIs
  • A track record of building secure, scalable, and resilient backend systems
  • An advanced understanding of backend architecture, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills
  • The ability to troubleshoot, optimize performance, and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced startup environments
  • An understanding of financial regulations, investment products, and real-time trading systems
