Performance Testing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Performance Testing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Micro Focus LoadRunner and a solid understanding of performance testing methodologies.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the performance, scalability, and stability of critical applications through comprehensive performance testing.

  • Analyze non-functional requirements to understand performance, scalability, and reliability needs.
  • Contribute to the design of comprehensive performance test strategies and plans.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable performance test scripts using VuGen across various protocols.
  • Configure and execute various types of performance tests, including load tests, stress tests, soak tests, and scalability tests, using LoadRunner Controller or Performance Center.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance metrics during test execution and analyze test results using LoadRunner Analyzer to identify performance bottlenecks and root causes.
  • Generate detailed performance test reports, summarize findings, and provide actionable recommendations to development and operations teams for performance improvements.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting of LoadRunner scripts, controller issues, and performance problems identified during testing.
  • Assist in setting up and managing performance test environments and data.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in software testing and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as C and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and common application architectures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate test findings and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

  • LoadRunner Expertise: Advanced proficiency in VuGen, Controller, and Analyzer.

  • Performance Testing Concepts: Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and key performance indicators.
  • Application Architecture: Familiarity with various application architectures and database concepts.
  • Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of common application and infrastructure monitoring tools.

Please note that relevant certifications and education in Computer Science or a related field are highly desirable but not mandatory.
