Senior Data Engineer Position

We're seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data engineering solutions.

This role will involve designing, building, and maintaining robust software systems to support data pipelines, analytics, and AI applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering, applied AI, and software development, with experience working on large-scale projects.

  • Design and develop efficient data ingestion, transformation, and validation pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern libraries.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to scope, build, and iterate on AI-driven tools tailored to business needs.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems that meet end-user workflow and UX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take projects from concept to production, including testing, documentation, deployment, and iteration.
  • Work closely with analysts, quants, and operations teams to deliver production-ready systems that drive decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, with exposure to software engineering best practices (version control, testing, modular code).
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working with data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data wrangling techniques.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, and data libraries like Pandas and Numpy.
  • Exposure to generative AI or LLM APIs and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Cohere, HuggingFace Transformers, DSPy, LangChain).
  • Understanding of fundamental machine learning and data science concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset: ability to work well with others, ask great questions, and contribute to a collaborative culture.
