As a lead IT infrastructure professional, you will oversee the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure continuous and secure data flow between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.
  • Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with the operational needs of continuous production processes.
  • Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives that include security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions like Private 5G and WiFi 6.
  • Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support for network hardware and services.
  • Develop redundancy strategies to prevent network failures and ensure the continuous availability of production data.
  • Oversee documentation and compliance with network management standards and protocols, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in designing and managing large-scale production network deployment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols, including VPN, intrusion detection, and VLAN management.
  • Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration and proficient in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure, with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a time-sensitive production environment.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvements in network performance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Essential Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing production floor network infrastructure in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment and network monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience in leading network architecture projects and managing security protocols.
