Job Summary: Live Connections is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the implementation of robust data governance practices and manage data lineage initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data management principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data governance and lineage. This role demands strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive the organization's data governance strategy and ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of individual contributor roles focused on creating and maintaining data management artifacts while supporting various data quality efforts and remediation activities.
  • The successful candidate will partner with specific business units to provide operational stewardship for existing and future business application owners across the organization.
  • This position involves managing the operational execution of activities related to all stages of the data management artifact creation and maintenance lifecycle.
  • The right candidate will direct their team in executing required deliverables and utilize support tools and processes to maintain company-wide data quality, control standards, and data sourcing as needed.
  • We are seeking someone who can collaborate with peers, colleagues, and multiple-level managers to ensure a consistent approach and direction on company-wide remediation efforts.
  • The ideal candidate will work with peers and the team to understand the business application roadmap in partnership with current business and technology application owners, providing insight into potential risks, compliance implications, or control gaps.
  • This role requires engaging control, business, and operational risk partners when needed to ensure appropriate SME knowledge is represented; developing a wide network of business partners to know who to engage and when.
  • The Data Governance and Lineage Manager will serve as a single point of contact for escalations on low to moderate complexity issues.
  • They will provide status or metric reporting as appropriate to management or other key business partners.
  • Mentorship and talent development of direct reports and assistance in hiring talent, as needed, are also essential responsibilities of this role.

Key Qualifications:

  • Financial services experience, preferably in financial services management consulting
  • Experience working within Corporate and Investment Banking, ideally within the front office, business management, control, data management, or operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking business applications, access, functionality, processes, and/or workflows
  • Experience with one or more of the following financial services risk stripes: operational risk, technology risk, information security risk, and data management risk
  • A proven track record of consultative and leadership skills and ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment
  • A history of building effective business partnerships with all levels of the organization
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • The ability to present summary materials in a consumable manner to various levels of an organization
  • Experience with direct and matrix management of diverse resources, including experience with a global delivery model

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
