Technical Leadership Position

Dispatch Network is seeking a skilled Technical Lead to develop and implement cutting-edge technologies for Last Mile 2.0.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work alongside the CTO and co-founders, shaping the technical direction of the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building core systems from scratch, including backend services, APIs, orchestration engines, and infrastructure.

They will also shape architecture decisions that will have a lasting impact on the company's success.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in building and shipping backend systems, with a strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.

They should also have experience with AWS stack, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and ECS.

Bonus skills include geospatial systems, real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.

Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about ownership, ambiguity, and speed over perfection are essential qualities for this role.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Build core systems from scratch, including backend services, APIs, orchestration engines, and infrastructure.
  • Shape architecture decisions that will have a lasting impact on the company's success.
  • Deploy and manage AWS infra, including RDS, Redis, OSRM servers, ECS/Fargate, VPCs, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Productionize demand prediction, rider assignment, and fleet balancing models.
  • Translate architecture into production code, keeping things simple and reliable.

**Requirements:**

  • 5-8 years of experience in building and shipping backend systems.
  • Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Experience with AWS stack, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and ECS.
  • Bonus skills: geospatial systems, real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
