As a key member of our organization, we are seeking an experienced Tower Design Engineer/Manager to lead the design, estimation, and planning of transmission line and telecom tower projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in design engineering, estimation, tendering, and planning within the OHTL (Overhead Transmission Lines) and Substation domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Estimation: Prepare design calculations, structural analysis, and detailed tower drawings in compliance with international standards. Develop BOQ, BOM, and cost estimations for tendering and project execution.
  • Evaluation and Tendering: Evaluate client specifications, tender documents, and provide technical & commercial proposals. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution teams to ensure alignment of design with project requirements.
  • Load Analysis and Optimization: Perform load analysis, proto development support, and optimization of tower design for cost-effectiveness. Lead the estimation process for domestic and international transmission & substation projects.
  • Feasibility Studies and Risk Assessment: Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessment, and value engineering for new projects. Support planning, scheduling, and resource management to meet project deadlines.
  • Clinet Coordination and Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies for design approvals and clarifications. Implement ERP/SAP systems for estimation, planning, and inventory management.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Master's in Engineering preferred).
  • 05–12+ years of experience in Tower Design, Estimation, and Project Planning in Power Transmission / Telecom Tower industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in design software (STAAD, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MS Tower) and ERP tools (SAP/JDE).
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (IS, IEC, ASCE, ASTM, etc.).
  • Experience in global tendering & estimation for OHTL, Substations, and Telecom Tower projects.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
