Job Title: Senior Process Safety and Risk Management Professional

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety and Risk Management Professional with 8+ years of experience in oil and gas projects (onshore/offshore). The role involves ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and international HSE standards across engineering, construction, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate Hazardous Operations and Events Studies (HAZOP), Hazard Identification (HAZID), and SIL/LOPA studies to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and review safety philosophies, fire risk assessments, Design Standards and Requirements (DSRs), hazardous area classifications, and other safety-related documents.
  • Develop Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments (FERA), Equipment Specification Sheets (ESSA), and other safety studies, either independently or in collaboration with third-party experts.
  • Review Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), layouts, and equipment specifications from a safety design perspective to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support design reviews, management of change (MoC), alarm rationalization, and other activities related to process safety and risk management.

HSE Management:
  • Support the development of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning to ensure adherence to international HSE standards.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to OSHA, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Drive a strong safety culture across project teams and subcontractors through leadership and example.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, or Safety Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations.
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, DNV software, and other industry-standard applications.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent are preferred.
