Key Role: Smart Buildings Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Smart Buildings Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative Building Management Systems (BMS). This high-profile position involves driving projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Initiation: Lead pre-sales engineering for BMS projects, following country-specific standards and best practices.
  • Technical Assessments: Review project inputs, MEP drawings, specifications, and SOPs; identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors to inform design decisions.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare technical assessments, RFIs, Bill of Materials, and cost estimations for competitive bids, ensuring timely submissions and quality assurance.
  • System Design: Design BAS network architecture and select hardware, software, sensors, controllers, dampers, and airflow devices, considering interoperability and scalability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in project kick-off and review meetings, maintaining compliance, deviation, and risk logs, while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Deliverables and Quality: Ensure defect-free deliverables and maintain timesheet compliance, adhering to standard processes.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Education: BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems: Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAV, Hot Water systems.
  • Experience: Expertise in BMS architecture: Operator Workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators, with experience in engineering, installation, and commissioning of HVAC & BMS systems.
  • Automation Systems: Familiarity with network protocols: BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, etc., and knowledge of Automation systems (PLC programming/SCADA).
  • Soft Skills: Quick learner, problem-solving mindset, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Experience: Relevant experience in Building Automation Industry, BMS Design, or Automation Engineering, particularly in smart buildings and IoT solutions.
