As a Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing data-centric solutions that address complex business challenges. Your expertise in ETL pipeline development, big data platforms, and cloud services will be instrumental in driving technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute ETL strategies and technical solutions.
  • Work closely with business users, data management staff, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with client and company guidelines.
  • Participate in agile project lifecycles, from ideation to implementation.
  • Develop technical solutions and consumption patterns that meet business requirements.
  • Influence stakeholders to ensure robust, secure, and highly available solutions.
  • Apply industry best practices to uplift the quality of technical solutions.
  • Contribute to delivery planning and provide guidance to ensure technical deliveries align with engineering direction.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and mentor junior team members.

Essential Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in ETL pipeline development with Spark or Scala programming frameworks and knowledge of UNIX Shell Script, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, Cloudera Hadoop (Apache Spark, Hive), and Autosys JIL.
  • Experience in big data platform development for ETL with AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata data warehouses and proficiency across Enterprise Analytics/BI/DW/ETL technologies such as Teradata Control Framework, Tableau.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Well-regarded Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle SQL database performance tuning and relational model analysis.
  • Experience working within a Data Delivery Life Cycle framework and Agile Methodology.
  • Experience working with Snowflake.
  • Python-based framework development.
  • Knowledge of using AI tools.
  • Self-starter, autonomous working.
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze complex information and present insights to senior management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
