Senior Lifestyle Writer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lifestyle Writer to join our Tamil lifestyle team at Samayam Tamil. The ideal candidate will bring 10–12 years of professional writing experience, including substantial time spent in print media, and possess a strong background in lifestyle journalism.

  • Create high-quality lifestyle stories across categories such as health, fashion, food, travel, relationships, and culture.
  • Ideate fresh and trending story concepts that resonate with Tamil readers.

About the Role:

This role demands excellent command over the Tamil language and the ability to create engaging, reader-friendly, and impactful lifestyle content. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and curate high-quality lifestyle stories.
  • Ideate fresh and trending story concepts.

Requirements:

  • 10–12 years of professional writing experience.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in covering the lifestyle beat (print or digital).
  • Prior work experience in print media is mandatory.
  • Exceptional command over Tamil language (written and verbal).
  • Strong understanding of audience preferences in lifestyle content.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining creativity and originality.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing, SEO, and social media platforms will be an added advantage.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • 10–12 years of professional experience in writing/editing.
  • Minimum 5–7 years on the lifestyle beat.
  • Strong background in Tamil writing with proven published work.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in both print and digital media.
