Automation Engineer Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on building robust automation frameworks, designing maintainable test suites, and ensuring flawless product delivery across APIs, microservices, and web applications.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in QA automation and strong expertise in Playwright for web UI automation (TypeScript/Node.js preferred). They will also be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites, extending and optimizing automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Suites: Create end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js).
  • Extend and Optimize Automation Frameworks: Enhance and refine automation frameworks for UI, REST APIs, and microservices testing.
  • Integrate Automated Tests into CI/CD Pipelines: Seamlessly integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI pipelines.
  • Write Data-Driven and Reusable Test Scripts: Craft data-driven and reusable test scripts ensuring scalability and high coverage.
  • Debug, Diagnose, and Resolve Flaky Tests: Identify and resolve flaky tests to maintain reliable automation pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies.
  • Document Test Approaches and Maintain Reports: Document test approaches and provide visibility into product quality through regular reports.
Requirements
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in QA automation.
  • Strong expertise in Playwright for web UI automation (TypeScript/Node.js preferred).
  • Good working knowledge of REST API testing (using Playwright, PyTest, or equivalent frameworks).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into delivery workflows.
  • Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
