Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Oracle Database administration, with a strong focus on database performance and optimization. The role will involve implementing and managing databases for various clients, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place, as well as developing and maintaining automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performance Tuning: Using advanced SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques to ensure peak performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Utilizing Oracle's advanced tools like AWR, ASH, SQL Profiles, and SQL Baselines to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
  • Configuration: Optimizing memory, CPU, and storage configurations for specialized environments like Exadata, Oracle RAC, and cloud platforms.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Oracle Database administration.
  • Expertise in Oracle 19c, with hands-on experience in Active Data Guard, Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud environments like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS RDS for Oracle, as well as Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS).
  • Scripting: Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, and Ansible.
  • Tools & Competencies: A deep understanding of Performance Tuning methodologies, and familiarity with monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Security: Knowledge of TDE and Database Auditing.

  • A basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.
