Job Title: Special Educator – At-Home Sessions

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic professional to work one-on-one with a child in their home environment. The focus of this role will be on developing functional academics, communication skills, and supporting daily living activities (ADLs).

Main Responsibilities:

  • To design and deliver personalized special education sessions in the child's home environment.
  • To focus on building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities.
  • To support the child's independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines).
  • To conduct informal assessments to set measurable goals and track progress.
  • To develop engaging, age-appropriate learning tools and methods.
  • To maintain clear session records and update the team regularly.
  • To collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
  • A strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training.
  • The ability to work independently in a home-based setting.
  • A respectful, non-judgmental, and family-focused approach.
