Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the timely completion of designs and process engineering deliverables, adhering to departmental working instructions and quality systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage work progress and ensure compliance with project requirements and schedule.
  • Investigate, analyze, and implement systems and methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure proper interchange of information and documents.
  • Furnish administrative and technical directives to discipline personnel.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline with minimum 18 to 20 years of experience in a consultancy organization or technical services department of a Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Lifesciences company.
  • Knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work, including process calculations, equipment data sheet preparation, line sizing, relief load, and PSV calculation.
  • Exposure to simulation software such as HYSYS and ASPEN.
  • Preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Reviewing all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety, including leading Hazop and PHA Reviews.

Additional Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge on layout designing of API, OSD, Sterile, and Biotech projects, sound knowledge on area classification and man material flow concepts, and latest ISPE Guidelines. They should also be familiar with regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, and WHO, as well as equipment selection criteria like Fermentation, Bioreactors, TFF, Chromatography, Filling Lines, etc.

  • Improve efficiency and accuracy through process improvements.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders.
