Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Sales Leader to spearhead our regional sales strategy in South India.

This role requires a proactive, energetic, and collaborative individual who can drive business growth by finding new customers and expanding existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales and booking targets for the assigned region.
  • Create sales leads through cold calling, sales visits, and other channels.
  • Manage leads and opportunities in the CRM system and utilize technical knowledge to respond to customer inquiries and address issues timely.
  • Pursue existing target accounts, discover new ones, and secure business wins while maintaining account metrics and weekly visit reports in CRM.
  • Maintain direct relationships with key accounts and monitor customer satisfaction, industry trends, strategies, and activities.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and manage critical metrics around growth, target achievement, new product sales, and other key initiatives.
  • Sustain and support distributor networks in the designated territory as needed through representative selection, training, and supervision.
  • Plan and execute weekly/monthly travel to boost customer engagement.
  • Review lead referrals and generation by distributors and develop strategies to win business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of experience in sales, engineering, or customer-facing roles.
  • Graduate degree in electronics or instrumentation engineering.
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical industrial/medical products and their applications.
  • Familiarity with customer end products/electrical systems/Instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Sharepoint and other applications/software.
  • Strong business acumen with engineer savvy; ability to read schematics/drawings.
  • High personal motivation to hunt new customers and drive profitable business growth.
  • Strong accountability and ownership philosophy.
  • Understanding of and effective use of CRM packages like Salesforce, ZOHO.
  • Able to work collaboratively with distribution partners to drive profitable business growth.
