Job Title: Database Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers).
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes and execution plans for high performance.
  • Support cross-platform integration with Oracle databases using PL/SQL.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines, primarily using SSIS. Experience with Oracle ETL is a plus.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking and deadlocks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Document best practices, standards and database architecture across SQL Server and Oracle environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Expertise in T-SQL, PL/SQL and ETL pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with database security, backup and recovery strategies.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
