Identity Governance Engineer

This role is responsible for the design, development, and integration of identity governance solutions to ensure enterprise-wide compliance.

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across the enterprise.
  • Develop and configure connectors, workflows, rules, and policies for user provisioning, de-provisioning, access certification, and access request.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, business stakeholders) to define IAM requirements and translate them into IIQ solutions.
Integration and Optimization

The successful candidate will integrate SailPoint IIQ with enterprise applications (Active Directory, LDAP, Databases, SaaS applications, HR systems like Workday/Oracle HCM).

  • Implement Lifecycle Management (LCM), Access Certification Campaigns, Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), Segregation of Duties (SoD).
  • Optimize and troubleshoot IIQ configurations, workflows, and performance issues.
Technical Leadership and Support

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior IAM engineers and ensure IAM processes align with security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Support production deployments, upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance and documentation to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with 3–5 years hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ expertise.
  • Strong development experience in Java, BeanShell, XML, and web services (SOAP/REST APIs).
  • Experience in configuring and customizing SailPoint IIQ modules (Provisioning, Compliance Manager, Lifecycle Manager, Identity Warehouse).
  • Knowledge of IAM standards & protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM).
  • Experience integrating IIQ with enterprise systems (Active Directory, LDAP, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, Oracle, cloud apps).
  • Strong understanding of RBAC, SoD, and Identity Governance principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, Windows, Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer / Architect.
  • Experience with SailPoint SaaS offerings (IdentityNow, Identity Security Cloud).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Prior consulting or professional services background.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills.
