SAP MDM Consultant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDM Consultant with a strong background in SAP S/4HANA data migration and master data management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of data migration processes, data analysis, and validation, specifically within the Record to Report (RTR) workstream, and will be adept at utilizing data transformation tools such as SAP Data Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Migration: Lead SAP S/4HANA data migration initiatives, ensuring accurate data transformation and migration using tools like SAP Data Services and SAP Data Migration Cockpit.
  • Data Objects Expertise: Focus on data objects within the RTR workstream, particularly SAP FI (Financial) master and transactional objects, including Cost Center, Profit Center, Bank Master Data, GL Account, Fixed Assets, and more.
  • Data Analysis and Validation: Conduct thorough data analysis and validation to ensure data integrity and compliance with business requirements.
  • Workshops and Mapping Documents: Organize and facilitate workshops with business and functional teams to prepare detailed mapping documents for data migration.
  • Development in SAP Data Services: Perform core development tasks in SAP Data Services, ensuring seamless data migration processes.
  • Master Data Management: Leverage prior expertise in Master Data Management to enhance data quality and governance practices within the organization.
  • Onshore/Offshore Collaboration: Work flexibly in an onshore/offshore model, coordinating effectively with team members in different locations.
  • Exposure to SAP Information Steward: (Good to have) Utilize knowledge of SAP Information Steward to support data governance and quality initiatives.
Skills Required:
  • MDM Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) principles and practices.
  • Data Migration Proficiency: Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration, particularly within the RTR workstream.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and validation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using SAP Data Services and SAP Data Migration Cockpit, with a solid understanding of relevant data objects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree: In Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in SAP data migration, data analysis, and master data management.
