About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Storage Administrator to join our team at Teksystems.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in storage systems, with experience in designing and implementing NetApp storage systems.
  • You will be responsible for providing operational support to our File Serving / NAS Infrastructure, planning and implementing data migrations, and managing vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, and storage reporting and monitoring tools.
  • You will also be responsible for handling disk, aggregate, qtree, volume issues, checking storage critical events, and resolving day-to-day storage tasks and changes.
  • In addition, you will have experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design and implement Netapp storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
    • Add disk shelf to the existing storage for standalone and High availability controllers.
    • Configure and manage DR replications via snapmirror.
    • Manage vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting and monitoring tools.
    • Handle disk, aggregate, qtree, volume issues.
    • Check storage critical events.
    • Provide operational support to the File Serving / NAS Infrastructure.
    • Plan and implement data migrations (typically using Robocopy).
    • Experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details.
    • Responsible for Day-to-day storage task and changes and incidents in storage.
  • Requirements:
    • 5-10 years of experience in storage administration.
    • Hands-on experience on NetApp, Hitachi.
    • Strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of CMODE, CDOT & fabric switches.
    • Significant experience in software tools from NetApp (OCUM, OCI etc).
    • Excellent understanding of CIFS - NFS technologies.
    • Experience in enterprise process mapping tools and techniques, as well as industry good practice frameworks such as ITIL, Agile.
