The Portfolio Management Specialist - Project Governance will support the Head, Programme Management Office in coordinating management of the Project/ Programme, providing support to the Project/ Programme Manager as required on Project/ Programme Management related processes. This includes working closely with PMs and regional/local teams on financial management, project planning, overall project governance and various management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head, Project & Programme Management Office to drive, coordinate, and manage the Project/ Programme;
• Provide support to the Project/ Programme Manager as required on Project/ Programme Management related processes;
• Collaborate with global teams on Change Delivery Standards framework parameters and cascade necessary updates;
• Ensure Project Tools ie. Clarity, Azure DevOps are up to date including Project static data, status update including RAG status, key milestones, financials, risks, dependencies, issues and resource forecasts;
• Coach and guide PMs in AED/PED preparation and subsequent Project management;
• Organise and coordinate Country Project forums, Support Group Management forum presentation decks and project initiatives;
• Monitor process implementation effectiveness, identify key areas for improvement / issues and enhance process / controls embedding for the effective management of risk;
Governance and Risk Management
The Portfolio Management Specialist - Project Governance will be responsible for ensuring that the Project/ Programme is managed in accordance with established governance and risk management frameworks. This includes:
• Monitoring process implementation effectiveness;
• Identifying key areas for improvement / issues;
• Enhancing process / controls embedding for the effective management of risk;
Regulatory and Business Conduct
The Portfolio Management Specialist - Project Governance will be expected to demonstrate exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. This includes:
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct;
• Embedding the highest standards of Group ethics across Standard Chartered Bank;
Requirements
• Bachelor degree from a reputable university;
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in banking field, with proven track record in project / initiative implementation, business analyst skills and generally getting things done with the flexibility to adapt;
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills geographies and lines of business;
• Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome oriented and logical mindset and approach;
• Strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to handle multi-tasks, manage time effectively and perform under pressure;
