We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager Embedded SW to lead product development for embedded (SW) products.
- This individual will be accountable for the NPI / NTI / Sustenance projects and provide leadership to the team to deliver on embedded SW products.
- The EM will be responsible to build Organization Capabilities – Hire and development plans for the talents of the team.
- The successful candidate will implement division strategies, build and leverage synergies across teams/cross functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables.
- Provide leadership to develop innovative technology and manage diverse product teams.
- Develop and control the schedule and direct the work to effectively manage time.
- Monitor progress & achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development & support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to improve the timelines and quality of deliverables.
- Utilize DFSS & Agile concepts/tools for new product development &/or existing product improvements.
- Recruit and retain a team of engineers and support staff to provide for product development.
- Train, develop & motivate team members to achieve their professional goals & review their accomplishments.
- Manage and develop people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent for the organization.
- Drive employee survey action plans to attain high level of employee engagement & managerial effectiveness.
- Drive Functional excellence through Continuous improvement using CI methodology.
- Drive culture of innovation with focus on new patent disclosures and high-impact ideas.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10 to 14 years of design experience with Embedded Systems based product development.
- Sound knowledge of Embedded Software product development.
- Experience leading a team through all stages of the product development cycle.
- Strong application programming in C++.
- Basic understanding of Linux OS.
- Working knowledge of Real-Time Kernel usage and familiar with commonly used RTOS like FreeRTOS/uCOS/Nucleus/Zephyr.
- Working knowledge of Github, JIRA, Github actions.
- Experience in an Agile design methodology.
- Knowledgeable on Cybersec requirements for SW development.
- Knowledgeable on DevOPs.
