Merchandising Expert

The Merchandising Expert plays a pivotal role in the merchandising process for woven garments. This involves being the key liaison between buyers, suppliers, and the production team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Design team to develop seasonal collections as per customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Manage material orders within timelines and work on improving budget and costs.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Handle small and high-value business transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Have technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing processes, including shirts, jackets, and bottoms.
  • Display strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrate high ownership and commitment to achieving results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or Fashion Technology.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
