Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to play a vital role in enhancing our fund accounting platforms and improving business processes. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements to understand hedge fund accounting workflows, including NAV calculation, trade capture, cash/position reconciliations, performance fees, and investor allocations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Fund Accounting teams to document functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.
  2. Process & System Improvements
  3. Work closely with technology teams to enhance fund accounting platforms (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, Eagle, Calypso, Charles River, or proprietary systems).
  4. Identify gaps, streamline reconciliations, automate manual processes, and improve data integrity.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts, experience with fund administration systems, and proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools. Additionally, you should possess excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts: NAV, accruals, P&L attribution, fee structures (management & incentive/performance), side pockets, share classes.
  • Experience with fund administration systems (Geneva, Investran, Advent, or equivalent).
  • Business analysis skills: requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT, documentation.
  • Understanding of financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives (swaps, options, futures, FX).
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills.
