Engineering Department Manager

At our facility, we are seeking a skilled and proactive manager to oversee the engineering department. This key role involves ensuring the seamless upkeep of our critical systems and infrastructure.

  • Maintenance & Upkeep:
    • Oversight of critical equipment including generators, transformers, UPS systems, boilers, and AC systems is required.
    • The upkeep of essential infrastructure such as water management, sewage and waste treatment, kitchen equipment, and fire prevention systems must be managed effectively.
    • Preparing for potential equipment breakdowns and providing support to all operational departments is also crucial.
  • Planning & Documentation:
    • Achieving and maintaining proper documentation of service reports, contract details, and consumption data is vital.
    • Preparation and allocation of technician duty rosters for 24/7 operations must be coordinated efficiently.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensuring a safe work environment for staff at all times.
    • Coordinating with local authorities to meet necessary statutory compliances.
    • Implementing electricity and water-saving measures daily.
  • Coordination & Management:
    • Coordinate all maintenance-related works with the Facility Director and other relevant departments.
    • Liaise with vendors and projects teams for retrofit and renovation work management.
    Requirements
    • Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical).
    • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and biomedical system maintenance.
    • Organizational skills: Meticulous scheduling, contracts, and documentation management.
    • Leadership: Proven team leadership capabilities.
    • Safety acumen: Firm commitment to workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
    • Communication: Effective communication with various departments, vendors, and authorities.
