Medical Officer Role Overview

This position entails overseeing the overall management of an Occupational Health Centre (OHC), ensuring compliance with Factories Act and Rajasthan Factories Rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic: Conduct occupational health hazard assessments, suggest improvements to management, and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and Implement: General and Occupational Health procedures and protocols in line with ISO requirements and best practices.
  • Referral Services: Partner with local hospitals and specialists for referral services.
  • Guiding Management: Assist management in addressing and correcting Occupational Health issues.
  • Operational: Perform pre- and periodical medical examinations, provide first aid care, conduct statutory health checks, maintain medicine stock, and keep medical records.
  • Generate Database: Create a database of employee health records and provide necessary advice.
  • Health Education: Provide training on Occupational hazards, First Aid, personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, and safety.
  • Emergency Management: Oversee the overall management of OHC to manage any medical emergencies.
  • Financial: Monitor and control Medical Centre Revenue budget, propose Capex projects, and prepare Revenue budgets.
  • People: Offer referral services, occupational health awareness training, and work with Site EHS lead to improve HSE metrics.
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualification: MBBS degree and Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) or Certificate of Training in Industrial Health recognized by state Government.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-8 years of experience in managing OHC in an industrial setup.

A suitable candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
