Key Role: Enterprise Application Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX Consultant to support our enterprise application environment, with a strong focus on data extraction, transformation, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge of AX modules and be proficient in SQL development.

Responsibilities include understanding and supporting all core Dynamics AX modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Inventory Management (IM), Fixed Assets (FA), and Projects.

  • Work independently to deep dive into concepts after a high-level knowledge transfer to debug existing AX customizations.
  • Trace and understand business logic in X++ and SQL.
  • Extract and transform data from Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and migration.
  • Perform pre- and post-validation to ensure data quality.
  • Create documentation for SQL processes, data mappings, and validation steps.
Requirements:

For this challenging role, we are looking for a highly skilled professional with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 or later).
  • Strong knowledge of X++ development and AX architecture.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server and query optimization.
  • Experience with data migration, transformation, and validation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, minimal-supervision environment.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing the scripts.
  • Solid understanding of stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Knowledge of data conversion best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with other database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Must be available to work during 11:30 AM IST – 8:30 PM IST.
