Refractory Expertise Job Description

The position of Refractory Expert is available in a steel plant environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring asset reliability and meeting refractory targets as per ABP requirements.

The key responsibilities include organizing and maintaining refractory materials, executing improvement projects within set timelines and budgets, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of refractory structures.

This role requires knowledge of refractory types, properties, and applications, as well as understanding of heat resistance, corrosion, and wear factors affecting refractory life.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to optimize refractory performance and ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Skills Required:

  • Refractory Material Expertise- Understanding of refractory types, properties, and applications in steel plants.
  • Installation & Maintenance- Experience in lining, repairing, and maintaining refractory structures.
  • Thermal & Wear Resistance- Knowledge of heat resistance, corrosion, and wear factors affecting refractory life.
  • Process Optimization- Ability to improve refractory performance for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
