Expert Mainframe Application Developer

Key to our team's success is a skilled Expert Mainframe Application Developer who can support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical applications.

  • Design, develop, test, and implement new and existing business applications leveraging expertise in COBOL, JCL, Changeman, File-Manager, IBM Debug Tool, dBeaver, IWS Job Scheduler, MQMON, TSO/ISPF.
  • Provide round-the-clock production support and troubleshoot Mainframe systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Develop interfaces and reports to support business operations, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements, driving continuous improvement.
Technical Environment:
  • Languages & Tools: COBOL, JCL, Changeman, File-Manager, IBM Debug Tool, dBeaver, IWS Job Scheduler, MQMON, TSO/ISPF
  • Databases: DB2, IMS-DB
  • Transaction Management: CICS
  • File Systems: VSAM

For this challenging role, we require:

  • 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS-DB, CICS, VSAM
  • Experience in providing 24/7/365 production support for critical systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
