The role of the Head IT Configuration Manager involves providing in-depth knowledge of configuration management processes and their practical application across multiple environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective business processes and overseeing day-to-day execution throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Service Asset and Configuration Management processes are performed as designed.
  • Coordinate with IT units and external vendors to ensure alignment of configuration assets with change management processes.
  • Review and agree to improvements to existing CM processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security of the CM database.
  • Provide regular status reports on CM database accuracy and completeness, scheduling audits and implementing recommendations.
  • Collaborate with company guidelines to prevent unauthorized damage or usage of project items.
  • Implement proper version control of software deliverables and oversee the implementation of an updated Configuration Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure that the CMS is populated with CIs according to policy and uniquely identified with naming conventions.
  • Maintain the functionality and security of IT Service Integration Tools, making necessary alterations or corrections.
  • Document the use and alterations made to the IT Service Integration Tools, monitoring their operation and compiling statistics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You should have

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university with 15 years of total experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Configuration management and 5+ years of leadership experience in Telecom/IT.
  • At least 1 year as Service Delivery Manager for IT Service Integration Tools (Service Now, UPMX, EISEB).
  • Understanding and background in process creation to enable and simplify operations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and training skills – both remote and in-person.
  • Collaborative skills with cross-functional stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in Event management based on ITIL and proven experience as Solution architect in multi-technological environments.
  • Able to act in multidisciplinary environments and think strategically in terms of culture, behavior, business processes, and technology and tools.

It would be beneficial if you also had

  • ITIL V4 expert certification.
  • Six Sigma.
  • Understanding of IT Management methods, tools, principles, and standards, such as Lean, Agile, DevOps.
