Cloud Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary data engineering leader with a strong focus on cloud-based data engineering to oversee our data infrastructure and team.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines and infrastructure while mentoring and inspiring a team of engineers.

  • Lead and Manage a Team:
  • Provide technical guidance, foster collaboration and innovation, and lead by example within the data engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design Data Infrastructure:
  • Oversee implementation of large-scale data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data warehouses using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
  • Develop and Optimize ETL/ELT Workflows:
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of data infrastructure through efficient ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders:
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient data solutions.
  • Implement Best Practices:
  • Establish best practices for data quality, governance, security, and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 18 years of professional experience in data engineering with at least 12 years in leadership or senior technical roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Databricks and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing high-performing teams and delivering complex data engineering projects on time.
  • Familiarity with analytics solutions and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience supporting technical discussions is a plus.
